Ya the whole dvd was awesome and all of the songs were great...even though Im not into the old generation type of music, I watched most of the performances, besides skipping like 1 or 2, and overall it was great!!!

Out of the nhac tre, these were my favorites:
1.MAI CON YEU - NHU LOAN & BAO HAN : this song was awesome!!! Very fun and catchy song!!!
2.Co Mai Yeu Thuong - Loan Chau : This song was great as well! The music arrangement was great and so was Loan Chau!
3.Like The Birds - Van Quynh : Great song by Van Quynh!!! I loved the whole song and she was very energetic!
4.Tinh Dep Nhu Mo - Ho Le Thu : overall a great song...how Ho Le Thu came in was great...i was like where da heck did Loan Chau go lol...cuz all of a sudden she disappeared and Ho Le Thu was standing where she was lol...if you look closely though, you will see HLT walk in and LC out but it was still surprising lol
5.Loi Cam On - Hop Ca : great ending by all!!!

eeek, personally i didn't like that song sung by Duong Trieu Vu. I like the first few lines he sung, but the song is short of lyrics. I heard him repeating a few lines over and over; the composer should have really expand his ideas a little bit more to make the song sounds more complete.

Loan Chau's hair looks weird in this one. I like her a lot better when she sings more traditional songs like "Hoi Tinh" and wears traditional costumes. She looks cheap in those showing dresses and westernized songs for some reason.

Thuy Nga lacks new singers who could bring their own performing style onto stage, Thu Phuong makes that seems more obvious since she was the exception.

Tam Doan looks pretty in this video, loved her ao dai. I terribly miss Ngoc Ha's perfomance as well as Don Ho's.

The documentary is a keepsake. It's invaluable to many of us. And it's also hard to be good at both docummenting history and at the same time focusing on selecting the music and singers. So, overall, it's still a B+, if not A-.

theo tôi thấy thì không như vậy . Loan Châu có dáng dấp rất sang trọng vì vậy khi mặc váy thì rất đẹp bạn thử nhìn lại xem sao . còn khimặc những bộ áo dài thì Loan Châu trông rát hiền thục .

==> Loan Châu trông rất đẹp trong những trang phục trình diển .

I really like the first two songs Toi Co Bam do Khanh Ly trinh bay, va Dem Chon Dau Vuot Bien qua giong hat cua Nhu Quynh. Hai bai hat nay lam toi cam dong va tran day cam xuc. The song Nguoi Tinh Tram Nam was pretty good. I also like the performance by Nhu Quynh&Truong Vu. Bai Xin Anh Giu tron tinh que also khoi giay mot noi niem nao do trong tam hon toi. Gio phut phan ky ai len duong ai van vuong. Anh oi anh oi, troi nam dau kho, nha viet nam cach tro va nguoi nam muon thou. Hay cau hat nay nhu muon xe nat va khoi day long cam hon trong trai tim toi.

Theo nhu minh thi bai hat cua Tam Doan la hay nhat do , minh khong cam thay bai hat cua ADAM Ho hay cho nao ca , minh khong thich cach trinh dien cua Adam Ho , noi chung Adam HO hat khong hay

The best song is the opening song: Toi Co Bam Lay Dat Nuoc Toi by Nguyen Dinh Toan and performed by Khanh Ly.
The second song is: Hai Ngoai Thuong Ca performed by Le Thu.

I have the feeling that all of you guys in here are new generation in US so that is why you all like all of the new music and younger lyric song. Don't quote me wrong because they are great too but the lyric was not emotional like those old one. Just like Nguyen Ngoc Ngan said: "Nua Nac Nua Mo" means 1/2 fat and 1/2 lean.

PBN 77 is one of the best yet. I can not pick one song out of the whole because that defy the complete idea. The DVD was a great transition from where we started to where we have been and up to generation Now of the Vietnamese. I cried so hard seeing history and experience come back to life in the songs and documentaries. What a truely touching Video. Keep up the good work PBN.
