Hi musiccritic,

As with the other DVDs in "The Best of..." collection, this DVD contains both a karaoke version as well as music video.

'cause it sells better this way. Most Vietnamese folks won't be bothered to buy karaoke dvds from show like PBN, Asia,... simply 'cause they won't sing most of the songs. The reason they watch the videos 'cause they're entertaining. So yeah, that's one of the reason why Thuynga hasn't been releasing a lot of karaoke now a day. But why released the best of DVD? 'cause these are selected singers, their best sellers singers like Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Hung, Luu Bich at first and now Quang Le, Minh Tuyet, and Bang Kieu,...these singers have a huge fan base and high number of sells. It's a win win to put out products from the best selling artists. Fan would love to buy these kinda DVD to train to sing like their favorite singers or just at least live out of the fantasy. Even older folks, they'd buy these DVDs 'cause they have a collection of music of the singers the like, believe it or not, older folks do like Nhu Quynh, Minh Tuyet, Bang Kieu, Quang Le. Even they sing karaoke they can still watch a marathon of videos from these particular artist. Old folks ain't like us young kids, they're not gonna rip off performances from every single PBN videos and then join them all together into a home made DVD. Old folks have life. Even when you get a group of friends over to sing karaoke party. These kinda karaoke DVDs are always better choices comparing to the "whole PBN shows", 'cause not everybody in the group will like all the singers, they might but they wanna sing all like those singers, the tones, and so on, it's easier when it's just Bang Kieu, or Minh Tuyet, or Dam Vinh Hung, or ....Lam Truong,...just one popular singer. I hate those "entirer PBN show DVD Karaoke" the only reason I bought those cause some of them haven't been released on DVD format as the PBN show. but well... the especially the "song ca" Karaoke are so annoying...you can't sing in two tones, and it's hard to find somebody to sing with.

Status: offline 		Hi Andy, thank you for your concern. But as it has been explained before because these collections contain both a Karaoke and a Music Video aspect, they take up more room. There is only so much that we can fit onto a DVD-9 disc. Due to this, we had to selectively choose which songs were to be included in this collection.

Thanks John for clearing it up..i understand..so maybe Gio Thi Anh Da Biet shouldve been out to make room for LK Dong Xanh since it was already on MT dvd..lol but it's ok

There are also two other great songs which were dropped out from this dvd: "Lac mat mua xuan" (PBN 76) and "Tinh yeu cho em/Vivo per lei" (PBN 79), but I understand the problem as John has pointed out. On the other hand, "Tinh yeu cho em" would be a tough song for people to sing, because not everyone could reach those high notes

Status: offline 		This has been a long awaited DVD for me because it has all of my favorite songs from BK.  I agreed that they left out a great song like Lac Mat Mua Xuan but I know why they left out Vivo Per Lei.  How many Viet folks can sing French anyways?

I don't think language is the reason of Vivo Per Lei. There were some French lyrics on the DVD released before by Thuy Nga. The total French medley performed by Elvis Phuong and Thanh Lan in PBN 50 has been released in karaoke version. Recently also "Cho em quen tuoi ngoc/C'est toi" performed by Bach Yen and Tran Thu Ha could be found on karaoke "Duong ve que huong".

Ok, we never know the real reason in the case of Vivo Per Lei. I think they did not have enough room for the song, and it is also a difficult song, which perhaps many people don't want or are not able to sing along.

"Lac mat mua xuan" is a very beautiful song, they could have added it on the disc.

Status: offline 		I'm not too crazy about the cover...looks like the same person who made the CD covers when Thuy Tien and Tran Thai Hoa's CD came out together a few years ago...I think he is deserving of a nicer DVD cover!!!!!!!
